Unfortunately the weather had final say as the match is abandoned. The Nepali team is taking a lap of the ground, showing their love for the thousands of Nepali fans who flocked to the Lord’s Cricket Ground despite it being a rainy London day.
So an anti climax considering the UK was going through ‘heatwave’ which resulted in usually high temperature until today! On the bright side, we did get a game and half considering how bad the weather was.
Nepal now continue their tour of Europe with two ODIs against the Netherlands at VRA Cricket Ground on the 1st and 3rd August. Do join us then for the live coverage.
Update from the ground is that due to heavy rain match has been cancelled as a No result and Nepalese players are coming out to thank all the crazy supporters who made long way to watch International status match to Mecca of Cricket Lord’s Cricket Ground. The date of the match is surely one of the worst possible day as it has rained after long time in London.
