Sandeep lamichhane has been handed the number 1 jersey by Delhi Daredevils for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League. Delhi’s chief executive Hemant Duwa and National Sports Council’s member Keshav Bista presented the jersey in an event held at Annapurna hotel, Kathmandu.
Delhi grabbed Lamichhane for 20 Lakh INR from the auction. Lamichhane will take a trip to Delhi on 27th March for the IPL which is scheduled to start from 7th April.
Talking to Wicket Nepal, Sandeep believed that wearing Delhi’s jersey for the first time felt similar to how he felt while putting on Nepal’s jersey for the first time. He expressed his excitement to play for the Gautam Gambhir captained side.
Talking in the event, Delhi’s CEO Duwa claimed they had been following Sandeep since a year. He further added Sandeep was chosen on his talent and expressed that they had taken Sandeep’s trial before picking him in IPL.
