The second edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL) or the first of its new kind is scheduled to start from the 18th of December, 2017. The announcement was made on Thursday.
Marquee players, Sompal Kami’s Kathmandu Kings XI will face Gyanendra Malla’s Lalitpur Patriots in the opening match of the tournament.
The tournament will be played in the similar format like IPL, except on a round robin format until the league stages and then knock-out stages in qualifiers and eliminator.

The final match of the tournament will be played on December 30. The league stage matches are scheduled to finish on December 26, from where the knock-out phase matches will start.
The winner of the tournament will get 2.1 million rupees, which is the highest cash prize till date in domestic cricket scene in Nepal.
