Kathmandu College of Management(KCM), Rajarshi Janak Campus(RJC), Triton International College and Pentagon have reached the semi finals of the Inter College Super Cup indoor cricket tournament. The tournament organized jointly by Ultimate Indoor Cricket(UIC) and Panda Events is being played at UIC’s indoor cricket court in Koteshowar. The semi final and final match of the tournament will be played tomorrow.
In the first quarter final Kathamandu College of Management defeated Institute of Medicine by 50 runs runs. Batting first Institute of Medicine posted 74 runs in 18 overs. Arpan Pokherel top scored for IOM with 15 runs. Ronak Agrawal who bowls with both right and left hands bagged three wickets for KCM. In reply KCM posted 114 runs despite 5 wicket haul from Sagar Pant. Ronak Agarwal who had also scored 9 runs with the bat was declared the player of the match.
In the second quarter final, Pradeep Airee’s all round performance helped Rajarshi Janak Campus seal easy victory Kaustuv Academy. Airee bagged two wickets to help restrict Kaustuv to 73 runs in 18 overs, and scored 23 runs with the bat as RJC posted 150 runs. RJC skipper Sudarshan Joshi top scored for RJC with 27 runs. Airee was adjudged the player of the match.
In the 3rd quarter Triton triumphed over Samriddhi by 61 runs. Batting first Triton posted a massive total of 179 runs riding on 36 runs from Dhiraj Adhikari. Pratik KC bagged two wickets for Samriddhi. In reply Samriddi posted 118 runs in 18 overs. Kausal Pokherel top scored for Samriddhi with 27 runs. Prajwal Giri 4 wickets, all which came in a single over, for Triton. Pradeep Tandon was decalred player of the match for his 24 runs and 2 wickets.
In the last quarterfinal Pentagon registered an easy win against Cosmos. Batting first Pentagon posted 181 runs in 18 overs. Naresh Budhayer top scored for Pentagon with 42 runs. Dipendra Mainali Contributed with 41. Buddhi Dwariya, who had taken a hattrick against Raju Rijal’s SPA, bagged 2 wickets for Cosmos. Defending the total Rupesh Shrivastav bagged 5 wickets to restrict Cosmos to 38 runs. Shrivastav had also scored 17 runs with the bat opening the innings for Pentagon and was adjudged the player of the match.
KCM faces RJC and Triton takes on Pentagon in the semi final match tomorrow. The winners of the match will also play the final tomorrow itself. The winner of the tournament will bag cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh along with trophies and certificates. The are also cash rewards and silverware for player of the tournament, best batsman and best bowler.
