Lumbini Khukuri Club and Shiva Shakti Cricket Club have the reached the finals of Rupendehi Super League(RSL) being held in Bhairahawa. The final match will be played tomorrow at Siddhartha Stadium.
In the first semi final played on 13th Feburary Lumbini Khukuri Club defeated Western Cricket Club by 92 runs
Winning the toss and batting toss in the 40 over match played at Siddharth Stadium, Bhairahawa Lumbini posted 221 runs losing 9 wickets. Skipper of Khukuri cricket club Antim Thapa top scored wit 73 runs, Sabin Sakya contributed wit 35. Birendra Somare and Bikram Bhusal bagged two wickets each for Westerns.
Defending 221 Shah Alam got 4 scalps for Lumbini as Western folded for 129 runs in 30 overs. Bhuwan Pandey top scored for Westerns with 31 runs, Bikram Bhusal contributed with 26 runs.
Antim Thapa was adjudged the player of the match for his 73.
In the other semi final played on 14th Feburary Shiva Shakti defeated Apex Cricket Club by 90 runs
Winning the toss and batting firstposted 234/7 in 40 overs riding on 68 runs from Anil Thapa and 42 from Krishna Sen. In reply Apex were all out for 144 runs in 31.3 overs. Ajay Kausilya top scored for Apex with 36 runs. Anil Thapa was adjudged the player of the match.
The winner of the tournament will bag 50,000 cash prize while the runner up with take home Rs. 25,000.
