Nepal U-19 posted 250 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 40 overs after they were put into bat by the Friends Sports Academy. Nepal U-19 won the 40-over match comprehensively by 121 runs after they bundled up the opposition for just 132 runs in 32 overs.
Pranit Thapa Magar was the highest run scorer for Nepal U-19 team scoring 87 runs smashing 7 fours and 3 sixes.
The 4th wicket partnership of 106 runs with Dipendra Singh Airee who scored 43 runs of 50 balls stirred Nepal to a formidable total before Anil Kumar Shah played a brilliant Cameo of 50 runs of just 34 balls and Rohit Kumar Poudel smacked 23 runs off just 7 balls at the end of the innings.
Shahab Alam, the left arm spinner picked up 3 wickets. Skipper Sandeep Lamichanne and Rohit Kumar Poudel also had 2 wickets each to their name.
Nepal U-19 team are currently training in Noida, India preparing for ICC under-19 world cup Asia qualifiers to be held in Singapore from 15th-25th of July. Nepal are bunched up with Afghanistan, Malaysia and the hosts Singapore in the qualifiers. The winner will qualify through to the ICC under-19 world cup 2018 to be held in New Zealand, in January.
