Nepal lost 3 consecutive matches in U-19 Challengers Trophy. India U-19 ‘B’ sent Nepal to bat first after winning the toss. Despite losing regular wickets, Nepal managed to score 210 before getting bowled out in 49.5 Overs.
Tto Skipper Rit Gautam who struck brilliant 84 at the top while wickets were failing from another end. Gautam hit 12 fours and 1 six in 93 balls he faced. Likewise, Sher Malla and Hari Chauhan chipped in with 33 and 20 respectively.
After posting a respectable total, Nepal started brilliantly with the ball as they reduced India U-19 ‘B’ at 15/2. India then shared a 53-run partnership for the 3rd wicket and 62-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Divyansh J Joshi (54) and Kruthik Krishna Setty Krishna (39) which pushed the game towards India. But then the game was in the balance when India U-19 ‘B’ lost their 6th wicket for 157, still needing 54 more runs with only 4 wickets in hand. But it all turned out to be sniff chance Nepal had as they chased down in 46.3 Overs, losing 8 wickets.
Aakash Chand was a superb with the ball as he took 4/14 in his 8-over spell whereas Sagar Dhakal bowled economical spell of 10-2-31-2. Likewise, Kushal Malla and Sher Mall shared a wicket each.
India U-19 ‘C’ defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in the first match and India U-19 ‘B” handed Nepal 107-run loss.
