Nepal and Hong Kong are placed in group B of the ICC World Cup qualifiers. Hong Kong gained the ticket to World Cup qualifiers by finishing third in the ICC World Cricket League tournament while Nepal secured it place finishing second in the ICC WCL Division-2 tournament.
Nepal and Hong Kong will face each other in the second warm up match at KK Sports Club. In the same ground, Nepal defeated UAE by 5 wickets in their first warm up match. Hong Kong lost to Netherlands by 8 wickets in its first warm up match.
Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, Nepal and Scotland are placed in the group B of the qualifiers. Nepal will play its first match against host nation Zimbabwe in March 4. They will continue the tournament by taking on Scotland on March 8. In the final two matches of group stage, they will face Afghanistan and Hong Kong in March 10 and 12 respectively.
